I hate to do another short comic after the recent run of them, but there's a reason. Sadly, a reason that the next update will have to be a short comic, too.

I am going to, or went (from your perspective) to San Francisco on Wednesday. I planned to do the comic for Friday in advance: things turned out to be uncertain, however, and instead of coming back on Saturday (as I expected) it turned out I would be back on monday - in other words, that I needed to do another comic in advance. I hadn't the time, however, and so as well as making both of them I had to rewriting the progression of later comics to allow for two shorter ones. So, the result is this comic, and the one which will follow. Sorry.
