A good bit to explain for non-Exalted players in this comic. First of all, a God-Blooded is a mortal being (like a human or animal) with divine ancestry - usually, because one of their parents was a spirit. Second, Thorns is a city which, prior to the current era of the game, has been conquered by the Mask of Winters, a deathlord, aided by his Abyssal Exalted.
